PGNiG Superleague is back after the break
Round 16 of the PGNiG Superleague has begun! In the first game of the round, Piotrkowianin Piotrków Trybunalski vs. Vive Tauron Kielce, the visiting team dominated and won 30-19.
Soon we will see another very interesting event – NMC Górnik Zabrze will take on MMTS Kwidzyn. The game will be broadcast on Canal + sport. At home, Górnik plays very interesting handball, and since Alexander Tatarintsev joined them to strengthen the second line, they have become a very dangerous opponent. MMTS is a consistent team, currently ranked second in the Blue group. We are sure to see an exciting game!
Sandra Spa Pogoń Szczecin will try to turn their situation in the league around. They have a lot of matches to play at home. The first one is scheduled for February 2, against the newly promoted Wybrzeże Gdańsk. This will be a clash of two Blue group teams – three points are at stake.
The revelation of the season, KPR Gwardia Opole, will face the leader of the Blue group, SPR Wisła Płock. Wisła are the favorite here, although Gwardia have already proven on a number of occasions they can be very efficient at home.
The next game in the Blue group is Chrobry Głogów against KPR RC Legionowo. The two solid teams will fight for three points.
Although Meble Wójcik Elbląg play impressive handball, they occupy the bottom of the table. This week, they will play against Stal Mielec. Zagłębie Lubin will host Azoty Puławy, the bronze medalist of the last Polish Championship.
